Coriander & Chilli Extra Virgin Olive Oil EV Olives

Markwood, VICTORIA

The local BBQ Chinese Restaurant in Katoomba makes the best roast duck and BBQ pork. This is fortunate as some days I want a quick meal without going to a restaurant.

The idea of some noodles and a quick stir fry, with the purchased meat, makes my mouth water.

So this month I am featuring the oil I use to make my stir fry tasty. The invention of an olive oil grower who wanted to value add their product. With great success!!

The benefit of this oil is that it is good for you. Oils aren't just oils as the advert goes. Some can cause health problems while others like extra virgin oil help control LDL ("bad") cholesterol levels while raising HDL (the "good" cholesterol) levels.

The Milawa Gourmet Region in Victoria, is well known for its cheeses. Yet it was the olive oil I picked up at a wonderful olive grove earlier this year that took my fancy. The oil is splendid as is, yet to be able to have the flavours of chilli and coriander, enhances the flavour.
